Differences Between Aceh and Foreign Cannabis

Cannabis is a plant that is known to contain psychoactive ingredients that can have psychotropic effects on its users. In Indonesia, one of the well-known types of marijuana is Aceh marijuana. However, apart from Aceh marijuana, there is also marijuana from outside which is different from Aceh marijuana. Here are the differences between Aceh cannabis and foreign cannabis.

Plant Type

The first difference between Aceh cannabis and cannabis outside is the type of plant. Aceh marijuana comes from the Cannabis Indica variety that grows in the Aceh region. Meanwhile, foreign cannabis generally comes from Cannabis Sativa varieties originating from outside Indonesia.

THC content

The content of the psychoactive ingredient THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) in Aceh marijuana tends to be higher than outside cannabis. This is caused by environmental factors, such as climate and soil conditions in Aceh which affect the THC content in cannabis plants. The THC content in Aceh cannabis can reach 20% or even more, while in outer cannabis the average THC content ranges from 5-15%.

Shape and Color

Aceh marijuana has a distinctive shape and color compared to outside marijuana. Aceh marijuana tends to be denser, hairier and has a distinctive dark green color. While the outer cannabis has a looser shape, is not as dense as Aceh cannabis and has a bright green or yellowish color.

Psychotropic Effects

The psychotropic effects produced by Aceh cannabis and outside cannabis are also different. Marijuana Aceh tends to have a more relaxing effect and make users feel calm and peaceful. Meanwhile, outdoor cannabis tends to provide a more arousing effect and makes the user feel more active and energetic.

Price

The price of Aceh cannabis is usually more expensive than foreign cannabis. This is due to the higher quality and THC content in Aceh cannabis. The price of Acehnese cannabis on the black market can be double or even more than the price of foreign cannabis.

In terms of the use of cannabis, both Acehnese cannabis and foreign cannabis have the same risks to health and society. However, as good citizens, we must avoid using cannabis because it is harmful to health and violates the law in Indonesia.
